A Thai Tradition: offering the monks: On the second day of Songkran I was up early in the hopes that I could find food before the water fights started. A lot of businesses close because its such a huge holiday for the country. This was when I spotted tables up and down tiger road filled with food items and gifts. I attempted to ask what it was about and gathered that the monks would be walking down the street within minutes. I grabbed all my camera gear and wasn’t worried about getting doused as I knew that this was a sacred time for the Thai.
